It’s a sentimental rollercoaster, using all sorts of processed found sounds, grainy electronics, and smoothed out tones to get the job done. Nils Quak has made a ridiculously beautiful & highly compelling piece of music. Truly awesome stuff.

‘The Once Silver Sky’ is an abstract and dark but, oddly enough, very inviting work. At times, it sounds like the soundtrack of a film noir but also manages to explore different realms and spaces. Nils Quak shows great skills at both sound design and composition that serve perfectly his understated talent for setting up sombre and ominous atmospheres.
